Let us pray ‘Our Mother who is within us, we celebrate your many names.Your wisdom come, your will be done, unfolding from the depths within us. Each day you give us all that we need. You remind us of our limits and we let go. You support us in our power and we act with courage. For you are the dwelling place within us, the empowerment around us and the celebration among us, now and for ever. Amen.’ by Miriam Therese Winter
We thank you God for the blessings of healing. We remember that Jesus Christ healed anyone who asked. The Cosmic Christi is alive here and now and have come to ask for healing. Ask and you will receive, Seek and you will find, knock and the door will be opened Amen
Close your eyes and concentrate on your breath. Listen to the small sounds in the room. Take a moment to be still and send breath to any places of holding and tension. It is time to now enter the door of our souls, our inner world of our religious imagination. Thank you God for this opportunity to go within. As we close our eyes may we become accustomed to the seeing of our inner spiritual eyes. OPne the door and enter this sacred place of inner wisdom.
Imagine that behind the door you discover a pathway to the beach. Begin a walk toward the ocean. The moon is full and you can see the stones ot eh pathway as they glisten int eh moon light. It is warm and the breeze gently blows against your check, and blows through your hair. You smell the salt air and hear the gentle waves lapping onto the sand. As you follow the path you see a magnificently moonlit ocean that glisten. The sky also glistens and is a blaze with stars. You look up for you see soemtihg move. Ahhh a shooting star. Breath in and out and hold you’re your arms out like a bird and feel your movement like the shooting star is free. The ocean breeze gentle blows all through your body and you feel a oneness with the air, the sky, the moon the water. You feel the stone path way under your feet and All your resistance to healing and rest are dissolving into the night breeze and you become lighter with each step you take. You are open to God.A sense of open freedom and expansiveness fills you as you breath in and smell the sweat smell of the ocean breeze
Listen you can Hear your own heartbeat, your our breath. With each step on this pathway you feel cleansed and more purified. The gentle breeze cleanses your hair, your mind, your heart, your center, your arms and legs. The air gently caresses you all over.
You reach the end of the stone pathway and before you is a beautiful alrge rock for you to sit . You sit knowing this is your place to be healed. You have arrived in a place of beauty and You are now ready to do the work of healing.Ask yourself Am I ready to allow myself to be healed tonight on this sacred beach? Am I ready to give up all the feelings of suffering and fear that is draining my energy.
Ask God to help you be willing to face and heal the injuries inside you. there is a large rock for you to sit comfortably and allow you to commune with the sky and the sea. As you look into the full moon you see a reflection of yourself. |do not judge what you see there. This image of yourself may be just a vague outline. Seeing yourself is not easy. Try to be gentle and unconditionally loving to yourself. This is essential for your healing.Notice how you’re feeling. Ask yourself have I harmed myself? Have I harmed my body , my honor or self-esteem? Have I hurt myself through relationships with family or friends? Have I done it by accident or willfully?
What do you feel guilty or angry about in the deepest core of your being? You must try to focus on only one small aspect of yourself that you want to heal just one place of disappointment or anger, pity doubt or guilt. we cannot heal as long as we are self-critical. Use the most loving part of yourself to focus on the place that is hurting the most right now.
Give this hurt a name anger, fear, shame and imagine where it lives in your body.
Ask God to help you stop hurting yourself. Know that you’re not bad that we all makes mistakes and that is how we learn.
Look again up into the full moon. See your reflection being washed with a mist. AhhhhhhhhhhhhYou suddenly feel the warmth of angel wings soft as downy surround you, holding healing and comforting you. Say out loud “I forgive myself”
Breath in and feel the unconditional miraculous love the angel gives you in this embrace.
You say, Show we my lessons, help me hold myself in the wings of acceptance and inner love. You hear the angel fly away into the night sky.
Sit quietly for a moment looking into the starry sky and out into the vast ocean. It is time to go back to the door of time and space where we began. As you rise and leave on the stone path you thank God for the courage to do the work of healing yourself. Thank you God for this spiritual realm of healing. You see the door at the end of the stone path way and you hear the words, Seek and you shall find, ask and it will be given to you, knock and the door will be opened. As you put your hand on the door knob to leave this place look back and reassure yourself that you can come back to this place when ever you want to.
Let us pray a prayer of forgiveness and love for yourself.
You who are the cosmic christ the mystery we call god I come to forgive myself
For what I have done that is not your will Weather accidently or willfully
May it be your will that I sin no more
I ask of your abundant mercies. May the words of my mouth and the thoughts of my heart be pleasing to you who are my rock and my redeemer. Amen Let us be still and know God.(with thanks for inspiration to Dr. Tamar Frankiel and her book, Entering the Temple of Dreams)
St. Francis Prayer
- Make me an instrument of your peace;
- where there is hatred, let me sow love;
- where there is injury, pardon:
- where there is doubt, faith ;
- where there is despair, hope
- where there is darkness, light
- where there is sadness, joy
- O divine Mother Father God,
- grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console;
- to be understood, as to understand;
- to be loved, as to love;
- for it is in giving that we receive,
- it is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
- and it is in dying that we are born to Eternal Life.
- Amen.
